Now now, don't wag your finger. I was only portraying the typical tropes of Omegaverse, doesn't represent my own opinions of Omegaverse, in which Sherlock (once heat is done) goes back to crimework and leaves John with the kids, only slightly miffed to have lost his assistant and John is a miserable househusband... Okay yeah, I'd prefer a woobie Omegaverse Sherlock to the more probable one. Anyway, although protectiveness and taking care of mate/kids is hardwired into Alphas, love isn't. As Sherlock has said, it's just chemicals. Once that headu cocktail is gone, if he felt nothing before, unless John had a glittery hoo-ha, Sherlock will be mostly unaffected.

The inexplicable need for Sherlock to have him near, the way he saves John JUST IN TIME (what is it, like, three or four times in eps?)...following the trail, of course! And after teh sex, he cleaves only unto John and snarls at the poor wimmen who also saw the trail and are pawing feebly at the door to John's room. Dear John, our darling beautiful crumply blond boy.
And is not 'Glittery hoo-ha' the best literary term ever?
