Damned if I can remember where I am on this. Not much to report - am still plodding through the tester coat toile.

Got one sleeve on, the collar is attached. Still to do - the lining.

Nonetheless - looking very COATY (though the colour isn't very Sherlock.). And I tried it on, and it swishes just fine. God I am good.
No, really. For a hack who sells things at times, and never did formal tailoring or even a sewing course? Oh yeah.
I don't feel like being modest about this.

I still have issues. but this is why you make a test piece, yeah?

When the sleeve was attached the the shoulder pad in place, most of the wrinkle problem from the back dispaeared. Thanks the small gods.

The sleeve needs to be rotated slightly, and it is STILL a touch too slim. Also personally I would like more gusset space under the arms to raise them better. So I need to feck with that slightly but other than that the sleeve is great. It still doesn't have the cuffs on yet.

The patch pockets are ok, once I got the proportions right. I still hate the goddamned welt pockets on the chest. I think I placed them slightly low. So... SO. Test coat, right> The collar is looking right (Very important) ad the tailor stiffening worked out quite well, it helps the collar stand up (VERY important) and the roll when it lays flat is good as well.

Pat on the back for me.
Next - cuffs. Sewing the lining together and attaching that. Then dreaded hemming. And buttonholes. Almost at the end of the test garment.
